Love of My Profession

Being a dentist in Chula Vista means I am able to contribute to a person’s well-being. Working with so many incredible people, each with their own unique needs, keeps me challenged and engaged. I am proud that dentistry allows people to have a healthy life, both physically and emotionally, as oral health is connected to both physical health and self-esteem. My experience and knowledge means I make a difference in the lives of my patients, and that is very rewarding.

I love the relationships I develop with my patients and the conversations we share. Hearing their life stories, learning about their individual successes, and their openness and willingness to include me in their daily life, are honors that I do not take lightly.

I am especially humbled by my patients who come to me with dental anxiety. Some of them have put off seeing a dentist for years and are now in great pain. Not only am I able to relieve them of that pain, but through the use of painless dental techniques, including sedation, I am able to show them that modern dentistry is not something to fear. When a previously reticent patient smiles and hugs me at the end of a procedure, telling me that they felt nothing, I know I’ve started them on the path to dental healing.

My Dental Education and Commitment to Continuing Education

I received my Bachelor of Science in biology from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, MA, and then was awarded my Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA.

I am a strong believer that every professional needs to stay abreast of developments in the field. This is especially true for those of us in oral healthcare, where there are constant developments in technologies and treatment methodologies. I owe it to my patients to provide them with the most modern, proven options available, so I actively pursue continuing education offerings at the local, regional, and national levels.

Outside Our Chula Vista Dentist Office

I’ve lived in the San Diego area for about 35 years and am originally from Connecticut. I have a wonderful family, including my wife Tina, three daughters, two grandchildren, and our family dog, Wally. When I’m not working, chances are I’m hiking, race walking, exercising, or practicing yoga. I’m also a season ticket holder for the Padres and Aztecs, and I enjoy reading and taking Wally for walks, too.

I believe in giving back to the community and am involved in several organizations, including the Chula Vista Rotary and Unico, which is an Italian-American association. My community and my neighborhood are extensions of my family, and I love to contribute to the welfare of all.
